One organization hopes to collect supplies for local families in need.

The United Way of Northern Santa Barbara County is holding its "Diaper Drive" until the end of October. Organizers say the drive helps support central coast shelters and non-profits that have recently lost funding and that have seen a spike in the number of families needing help.

All you need to do to help out is take donations of diapers, formula or baby wipes to one of four locations:

  • Starbucks: 1419 S. Broadway, Santa Maria; in the JCPenney's Center
  • Starbucks: 2580 S. Broadway, Santa Maria; in the FoodCo. Center
  • Marriott Hotel: 555 Mcmurray Rd., Buellton
  • Church for Life: 3010 Skyway Dr., Santa Maria

The drive lasts until October 31st.

All donations will be distributed to local agencies in Santa Barbara County.
