The San Luis Obispo Sheriff's Office says a total of 15 people, 14 adults and one 17-year old, are in custody in connection to the discovery of a panga boat and drugs on Wednesday.

Deputies patrolling the coastline say they spotted the men unloading the panga boat at Montana de Oro State Park early Wednesday morning.

The 15 people face charges of transportation of marijuana for sale, possession of marijuana for sale, and conspiracy.

Investigators say they confiscated 53 bales of marijuana totaling 1,909 pounds. The drugs are estimated to have a street value of $1.3 million.
