Many in Atascdero woke up Thursday morning to the sounds of helicopters and a flash bang, as San Luis Obispo County Deputies served an arrest warrant.
At 5 a.m. deputies arrested 38 year-old Marc Steele at a home in the 7000 block of Portola Road.
Three felony warrants were issued for Steele, including one for assault with a deadly weapon.
Authorities say Steele intentionally rammed his vehicle into a San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's patrol unit back in December.
Deputies believed Steele was armed and using a video surveillance system at the home, so they used a flash bang to distract him.
