A train struck and killed a female pedestrian in Pismo Beach shortly after 9 last night.
The incident took place in the area of Frady Lane and the 101 overpass.
During the course of the investigation, Pismo Beach Police found that the woman was attempting to cross the railroad tracks when she was struck by the train.
She was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of her injuries from the accident.
At this time there is nothing to indicate foul play, but there is still an ongoing investigation.
The woman has been identified, however the name is not being released at this time.
