The California Highway Patrol has obtained surveillance video of a truck involved in a hit-and- run crash with a San Luis Obispo police officer's SUV Monday morning.

Investigators said the footage shows a white, full-size early 2000s-model Chevrolet Silverado pickup with a ladder in the truck's bed.

At about 6:15 a.m., the marked police vehicle entered Highway 101 at the Prado Road entrance, heading northbound, according to investigators. That's when they said a speeding vehicle ran into the back of the police SUV, causing Sgt. Jeff Booth to lose traction and slide off the road into the center divider.

The CHP said Sgt. Booth was wearing his seat belt and suffered only minor injuries.

If you have any information regarding the crash, you are asked to call the San Luis Obispo CHP at (805) 593-3333.
