The California Highway Patrol has identified the driver who was killed Tuesday after his pickup truck collided with a semi-truck.

The CHP says around 4:30 p.m., 25-year-old Bryden Reid, from Nipomo, was driving his Ford Ranger on Highway 101 South near Higuera Street when another driver changed lanes and hit the back of his truck, causing it to spin.

They say Reid's truck then hit the back of a semi-truck.

Reid was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
