UPDATE: Driver, student injured in bus crash out of hospital

The driver and a student injured in a bus crash east of Santa Maria in October have been released from the hospital, according to a representative from the Santa Maria Joint Union High School District.

The crash happened on October 30, when a farm vehicle collided with a school bus on Foxen Canyon Road in the Sisquoc area.

The bus was bound for Righetti High School.

School officials say the bus driver suffered cuts on her face that required surgery. Initially, three students were reported injured. One of those students suffered a broken leg.
