UPDATE: Man involved in officer-involved shooting in Goleta Saturday morning is identified

Police have now identified the man who was shot during an officer-involved shooting in Goleta early Saturday morning.

They say 25-year-old Goleta resident Gerardo Martinez is in stable condition at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

He is in custody and is being held on charges of criminal gang enhancement, and assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer with a semi-automatic handgun.

His bail has been set at $300,000.
