The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department was called out the beach near the 6500 block of Del Playa.
Deputies say they received a call around 8:40 Friday morning after a body was discovered.
The subject is described as a white college aged male adult who had sustained head injuries that are consistent with a fall.
The body is further described as being in his mid-20's, having short shaggy brown curly hair, clean shaven, brown eyes, 5'10" tall, weighing 190 pounds and having no scars or tattoos.
Detectives are working hard to identify the body.
