A spokesperson for the California Department of Fish and Wildlife says a mountain lion found in a backyard in Santa Barbara Monday morning will be released into the Los Padres National Forest. The mountain lion was tranquilized and wildlife officials are currently waiting in the forest with the animal while the drugs wear off.
