Santa Maria Police say a bomb threat made against the Santa Barbara Bank and Trust on the 300 block of Betteravia Road turned out to be unfounded.
The investigation began just before 11:30 am on Wednesday, when bank management reported they received information that a customer had made implied threats about a possible bomb.
Police evacuated the bank, cordoned off the area and called in the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Bomb Squad.
The Bomb Squad searched the bank, but did not find any explosives.
Police are continuing to investigate.
