A car crash on the Highway 101 Santa Maria River Bridge caused northbound traffic to back up Saturday night.

The crash, involving two vehicles, happened around 7:50 PM, blocking the roadway.

One hour later, the lanes were cleared and traffic started moving through the area again.

No word on any injuries at this time.
