UPDATE: One person dead, another in critical condition after being hit by car in Cayucos Saturday night

Officials with Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center tell KSBY that one of the pedestrians hit by a car Saturday night in Cayucos has died.
Around 6:30 p.m., two people attempting to cross from the east side of Ocean Avenue near 7th Street were hit by a car driven by 32-year-old Rhiannon Carroll of San Luis Obispo.
Hospital officials say 87-year-old Manualo Karako died shortly after arriving at the hospital, and 66-year-old Sandra Karako remains in critical condition.
They are both from San Luis Obispo.
Officers say Carroll remained on the scene until emergency personnel arrived.
They do not suspect drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, and Carroll was not arrested.
