As of 4:30 p.m. Saturday, 676 homes in Atascadero had natural gas restored.
A total of 729 customers were impacted by the outage, which started seven days ago.
53 meters still need to be replaced, but officials say those residents aren't home. In order for gas to be restored, the homeowner needs to be there.
Crews were out today doing a final check.
They visited homes that hadn't had gas restored at least three times. On the third visit, crews left a door hanger to notify homeowners about the problem.
The command center at the corner of Lewis and Estrada Avenues will be closed until Monday morning.
If you need help before then, call the SoCalGas Customer Contact Center at 1-800-427-2200.
