According to PG&E, power has been restored to all but 928 customers in Santa Maria and the surrounding area.

The City of Santa Maria says the outage was caused by a vehicle that crashed into a pole in the 400 block of East Boone Street.

Officials with the Lompoc Fire Department say a vehicle also crashed into a pole on Bailey Avenue in Lompoc.

PG&E says they do not know when power will be restored to the remaining customers.

According to PG&E, more than 4,600 customers are without power Saturday night in Santa Maria.

Officials say the customers lost power around 4:30 Saturday afternoon.

They say there are reports of multiple car vs. pole accidents in the area, as well as a wire that is down, but they do not know if these were causing the outage.

Officials say they have crews on scene working to fix the problem, but they do not know when power will be restored.
