California Highway Patrol officers arrest a 29-year-old San Luis Obispo man they say led several local law enforcement agencies on a high-speed pursuit for more than 40 miles.
It started just after 2:30 Saturday afternoon in the 9800 block of El Camino Real in Atascadero when officers spotted Steven McGraw's truck in an apartment complex. McGraw has two felony and one misdemeanor warrant.
Officers say that is when McGraw took off, passing cars on the wrong side of the road and reaching speeds of more than 100 miles per hour both on and off the highway.
A CHP helicopter was called in to help.
McGraw eventually ran his truck off the road in Bradley in Monterey County. He was arrested and booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail for evading police.
