Update: Three people arrested for using counterfeit bills

San Luis Obispo Police Department arrested three people Wednesday afternoon for using $100 counterfeit at numerous stores in San Luis Obispo.

After attempting to use counterfeit bills police arrested Javier Diestra, Carmen Ramirez and Raul Ugarte.

The United States Secret Service helped in the investigation and were able to determine the suspects have been traveling from Los Angeles.

Police determined 8 businesses received the counterfeit bills. Those victims include: Victoria's Secrets, Moondoggies, Forden's, Lulu Lux, Zoey's Home Furnishings, Gap, and Sherwin Williams.

The suspects were arrested and book into San Luis Obispo County Jail.
