California Highway Patrol investigators say two people have been hospitalized with serious injuries after colliding with a construction scraper in Paso Robles around 5:40 Friday morning.
It happened eastbound on Highway 46 East and Union Road.
Officers say a full sized pick-up truck and the construction equipment collided at the intersection.
Two men, one from Tulare, the other from Visalia, were trapped inside the truck before being extricated.
Eastbound traffic was rerouted around the area while they cleared the scene.
No arrests have been made, and the crash is still under investigation.
