UPDATED: Small fire burns in Nipomo

Firefighters responded to a small fire that broke out Friday afternoon in nipomo.

CAL FIRE says the fire was contained to just under two acres. It burned grass and eucalyptus trees and caused minor damage to a horse barn. Two other buildings were also threatened but did not burn.

Firefighters say the already dry eucalyptus trees could potentially fall, so they remained on scene to cut some of them down.

The fire started at Division Street and Sequoia Lane at around 2:30 p.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
