NEW YORK (AP) - U.S. stocks futures were little changed in pre-market trading Friday with the stock market poised to log a second straight week of gains.
KEEPING SCORE: Dow Jones industrial average futures gained 1 point to 15,980 about 30 minutes before the opening bell. Standard & Poor's 500 index futures were flat at 1,823 and the Nasdaq futures climbed 2 points to 3,652.
MEN'S WEAR BATTLE: Jos. A. Bank Clothiers fell $1.57, or 2.9 percent, to $53.35 after it announced that it was buying the parent company of Eddie Bauer in a cash-and-stock deal valued at $825 million. The deal comes as Jos. A. Bank is being pursued by rival Men's Wearhouse. Shares of Men's Wearhouse fell $3.64, or 7.8 percent, to $42.89.
TREASURYS AND COMMODITIES: The yield on the 10-year Treasury note rose to 2.75 percent from 2.73 percent Thursday. The price of oil dropped 23 cents, or 0.2 percent, to $100.11 a barrel. Gold gained $15.80, or 1.2 percent, to $1,316.10 an ounce.
