The U.S. Geological Survey reported an earthquake early Wednesday morning.
The 3.6 magnitude quake struck around 3:30 in the morning. USGS says the epicenter was near Coalinga along the San Andreas Fault.
The San Andreas Fault forms the main strand of the plate boundary, running from the Gulf of California north to the region of Cape Mendocino.
