If all the children born in 2009 received their vaccines, 42,000 early deaths could be prevented, as well as 20 million cases of disease.
A study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention compared vaccine efficiency to data on diseases before the vaccines were invented.
The study found the total money savings would be more than $13 billion in medical costs and nearly $70 billion in additional costs to the public.
