Investigators are working to determine the cause of a small vegetation fire near Lompoc Tuesday morning.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department says crews responded to the 3600 block of Harris Grade Road just after 10 a.m. to reports of an oil well burning on PXP property.
When they arrived, officials determined the oil well was not burning, but that a vegetation fire had broken out due to a possible downed power line in the area.
The fire burned half an acre and no one was injured.
