California Highway Patrol officers are on scene of a single vehicle crash in the Santa Maria area Wednesday morning.
Officers tell KSBY News they were called to the southbound lanes of Highway 101, just south of Clark Avenue at about 7:45a.m. Wednesday, on word of an overturned vehicle. Witnesses tell officers it appeared the driver of that vehicle lost control and flipped the vehicle into the center divider. The CHP says that driver was able to get out of the vehicle safely, but reported neck pains. An ambulance was sent to the scene, but it's unknown if the driver was taken to a hospital.
Officers report only slight traffic congestion on the highway in that area.
