The jury has reached a verdict in the case against the San Jose man accused of killing a man in a Paso Robes laundromat.

John Woody Jr., was found guilty Friday afternoon in a San Luis Obispo Superior Court room.

Police say Woody stabbed Martin McWilliams, 46, last year plunging a knife into him 22 times, killing him.

The stabbing happened a year ago in a Paso Robles coin laundry.

Police say the 6-foot-6 defendant overpowered the much shorter McWilliams and repeatedly stabbed him before fleeing. He was arrested the following day.

Woody originally entered an insanity plea.
