A freeze watch remains in effect from late Friday night through Saturday morning.

A wind advisory which was in place Thursday afternoon has expired.

Temps will be falling to between 28 and 32 degrees after midnight tonight. Then dropping to between 24 and 28 degrees early Saturday morning.

Sub-freezing temperatures can cause significant damage to unprotected plants and crops.

A frost advisory means that frost is imminent. Take protective measures now to minimize risks to outdoor plants and animals.

A freeze watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible.

Additionally northern SLO county interior valleys will likely drop to the low to mid 20s over the period, and while no advisory is posted because the area is usually cold this time of year, these are abnormally cold lows which will put additional strain on animals left outside and heating equipment not in good repair.
