We now know the name of the victim whose neck was slashed on Friday. Sheriff's deputies have identified the man as 46-year-old David Stratton of Pismo Beach. They say the incident took place inside Mr. Rick's.

As a result, two people were arrested and are in custody on attempted murder charges. The suspects are a wife and husband from Atascadero. They are 43-year-old Michael Darrien Simmons and 50-year-old Janet Ella Simmons (shown in photo).

Authorities say during the fight, Michael allegedly slashed Stratton's neck with a box cutter. No word yet on a motive. He was taken to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center where he received multiple stitches.

KSBY News reporter Monica Quintero will have a live report on this story on KSBY News at 5 and 6.
