VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. (AP) - The military says an unarmed intercontinental ballistic missile has blasted from a silo at Vandenberg Air Force Base and successfully reached a target area 4,200 miles away in the Pacific Ocean. The Air Force says the Minuteman 3 was launched at 3:07 this morning and it reached the Kwajalein Atoll 30 minutes later. The military tests several Minuteman 3s each year at the Santa Barbara County base.
