Folks will be gathering outside of Atascadero State Hospital this Sunday, to remember a state hospital worker from Napa who was killed on the job one year ago.

Sunday, October 23rd will mark one year since the death of Donna Gross. Organizers of Sunday's vigil say Gross was a Psychiatric Technician at Napa State Hospital, who was killed while at work. Organizers say her death sparked a statewide movement to improve work and living conditions for staff and patients at State Hospitals.

Members of the community are invited to Sunday's vigil at Atascadero State Hospital. State Senator Sam Blakeslee, State Assemblyman Katcho Achadjian are expected to attend the event along with ASH employees. Sunday's vigil begins at 1:30pm and ends at about 3:30pm, at the El Camino Real entrance to ASH.
