A Santa Barbara man has been arrested on multiple felonies after what police are calling a vicious sexual assault of a seven year-old girl.
Santa Barbara Police say 40 year-old Jesse Paul Martin sexually assaulted his friend's daughter, on September 14th.
They said he scratched the victim's arm with a power tool that etches glass, sexually assaulted her, then threatened to kill her.
Later that day, police said he admitted to his friend he is a pedophile and sexual offender.
Martin was arrested after police discovered an outstanding warrant.
Following an investigation into the sexual assault, Martin was also booked into Santa Barbara County Jail on four felonies and two misdemeanors.
Bail was set at $100,000 dollars.
