Good morning and a Happy New Year! We're starting the year much as we ended 2013-looking toward the skies, wondering when we'll get some rain.
So far, though, that outlook is somewhat bleak. We're in the grip of a solid high pressure ridge, which will keep us dry and above normal in terms of temperature.
Some coastal regions like San Luis Obispo, will see the mercury climb past the 80-degree mark today. Even the beach areas will maintain their recent trends of mid to upper 60s and low 70s. We don't expect much change into the weekend and early next week.
