Warm temperatures flirt with record winter highs

San Luis Obispo and Pismo Beach were just a couple degrees below record highs today. Pismo Beach saw a high of 78 degrees and San Luis Obispo hit 79 degrees. Unseasonably warm temperatures are likely to continue through the middle of next week. New Year's Day is still forecasted to be the warmest day during the trend.

Tonight, we'll see partly cloudy skies except for patchy low clouds and fog along the beaches after midnight. The fog will be locally dense with visibility one
quarter mile or less. Lows will dip into the mid 40s to mid 50s with northwest winds around 15 mph.

Thursday, more partly cloudy skies with patchy low clouds and morning fog along the beaches. Visibility will be one quarter mile or less, so be careful during your morning commute. Highs will range from the mid 60s to lower 70s with northwest winds around 15 mph in the afternoon.
