The Santa Barbara County Fire department responded to a reported tornado or waterspout Tuesday morning in Goleta.
The area where the waterspout traveled included a house with shingles torn off,
a large tree that was uprooted, a fence that was knocked down, a basketball hoop that was blown over, and broken tree limbs.
There is evidence that suggests a small tornado might have briefly touched down,
but it was not witnessed. There were no injuries reported. Goleta city crews assessed the damage and cleared debris from the roadway.
