If you're looking for an excuse to hit the beach tomorrow, the State Assembly is officially recognizing June 20th as International Surfing Day in California.
Santa Barbara Assemblyman Das Williams, who is an avid surfer himself, introduced the resolution.
It was passed yesterday.
The Surfrider Foundation started the holiday in 2005.
The group says it's intended to celebrate California's surfing heritage and raise awareness about the need to protect our oceans, waves, and beaches.
