A weekend poker tournament in Avila Beach raises $13,000 for our service men and women.
It was the annual Texas Hold 'Em poker tournament put on by San Luis Sports Therapy. It was all to benefit the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, which helps service men and women and their families.
More than 60 poker players turned out to play cards and raise money for the charity. Organizers say every penny donated at the poker tournament goes to the charity, and each poker player walked away with various prizes donated by local businesses.
This year's tournament was held Saturday at the Custom House Restaurant in Avila Beach.
