High pressure will be a powerful influence on inland temperatures over the weekend with Mid State Fair-goers facing highs which will top 100.
Away from the interior there will be a strong temperature gradient with beaches checking in with highs in the 60s and lower 70s while coastal valleys see the mid 70s to lower 80s.
Both Saturday and Sunday feature similar temperatures.
As for clouds the beaches will likely see morning clouds with partial afternoon clearing and everywhere else ample sunshine should be found.
Temps cool a bit early next week, some monsoon air will try to push into the region but likely only produce partly cloudy skies with slightly elevated relative humidity.
