A local serviceman received a warm welcome home today.
Marine Corporal Mitch Bewick arrived at the San Luis Obispo Airport at 5 o'clock this evening. He's returning from a deployment in Afghanistan. Bewick's father is a Grover Beach Police Officer and veteran, and Bewicks grandfather is a veteran of World War 2. He told us what he missed most about home.
"being around friends and family. Other than that, I love the Marine Corp. I wouldn't change anything about it. And if I had to go back I would, I felt like I had a sense of purpose over there," said Marine Corporal Mitch Bewick.
The first thing he wants to do is eat a big steak.
