No one knows exactly who started it, or how, but women on the social networking site Facebook have been posting the color of their bras!
Well it's all for a good cause.
A message is circulating across the social networking site asking women to write the color of the bra they're wearing today in their status update to raise awareness for breast cancer.
No one seems to know who's behind it, but this viral craze is getting plenty of attention.
Breast cancer advocacy groups like the Susan G. Komen Foundation support the Facebook movement.
"We definitely endorse any program or any campaign that gets people talking about breast cancer awareness and increases that awareness especially among the young population," says Deb Weintraub of Susan G. Komen For The Cure.
But, can posting the color of your bra really raise awareness for breast cancer?
Not everyone thinks so. But social media analyst Mekahlo Medina says it underscores the power of social networking.
"350 million users on Facebook. Hundreds of millions of users on Twitter. These people are on constantly. They're live. So they see something really quickly they think is phat, or is fun and cute, they'll respond to it. They may share it with friends. It's just a chain reaction. It's the live web really working in the live sense."
