The Good Questions are from Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo County tonight. Joe and Maryann Macias from Santa Maria want to know: When is Highway 135 in Orcutt going to be repaved? Good Question!
Joe and Maryann say in some spots it's like driving on a cheese grater. KSBY checked it out and found lots of rough spots. A re-paving project was planned but was pulled back because of lack of funding. Caltrans is resubmitting the project and construction could start next summer. So hang in there, Joe and Maryann.
An anonymous viewer from Paso asks, What's happening with the El Paso de Robles Youth Correctional Facility, also known as the Boys School. That's a Good Question, especially now that counties will be getting low level state offenders. It's been closed and empty since 2008. Since then, The Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation has been planning to turn it into a facility for 16-hundred adult inmates. Plans have to be approved by the legislature.
