REDDING, Calif. (AP) - Fire crews are continuing to make progress in their battle against a wildfire burning near Redding in Northern California.
California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection spokeswoman Tammy Hay said Saturday morning the fire was 75 percent contained, with 100 percent containment expected later Saturday.
The blaze has consumed about 1,200 acres since it was reported Thursday afternoon. Two outbuildings have been destroyed and five homes damaged.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
