KSBY News talked with some shoppers on Sunday here on the Central Coast about Cyber Monday. They had mixed reactions. Some say they enjoy being able to shop from the comfort of their own home. But others say they would rather hit the stores to find those perfect gifts either for someone else or themselves. Mallory Difatta, a shopper, said, "I do prefer actually going into the stores and scoping it out and fighting for the last medium." Another shopper, Amanda Piezad, said, "shopping on-line is just easier. Stuff goes straight to my house and you don't have to worry about traffic and everything."
According to the National Retail Federation, 96.5 million people plan to shop on Cyber Monday. That's up from 85 million last year. Ninety-percent of those people will shop from home, and nine in ten retailers will have a special promotion.
