Matt Willkomm hit the game-winning 3-point shot with four seconds left to deliver a thrilling 57-56 win for Arroyo Grande over Rio Mesa in the third place game at the Carpinteria High Tournament on Tuesday.

Willkomm finished with a game-high 30 points, including 6 three-pointers, to go with 4 assists and 5 rebounds. The senior guard was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Cobe Williams added 10 points, while Carson Wack added 8 points for the Eagles, who improved to 11-3 on the year.

The Eagles build a thirteen point lead in the third quarter, but found themselves down by four with less than a minute to play.

Reggie Dixon led Rio Mesa with 21 points.

The Eagles return to action in the new year on January 2 at home against St. Joseph to open defense of their Pac 7 League title in both teams' league openers.
