Construction on the Highway 101-Willow Road interchange in Nipomo is now complete.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Friday afternoon.

In addition to the new interchange, Willow Road was extended all the way to Thompson Avenue, linking Highway 1 to the eastern part of Nipomo.

Drivers will be able to use the road and highway interchange starting on Saturday.

The project cost $20 million and came in $1 million under budget.
