A wind advisory has been issued for the Santa Barbara Mountains and South Coast until 11 PM tonight. Dry sundowner winds are expected this through 11 PM this evening in Santa Barbara County mountains and South Coast, especially below passes and canyons. Wind gusts could reach 35-45 mph, peaking during the evening hours and diminishing overnight. The gusty cross winds, dry vegetation, temperatures near 90 and humidity level down to 10 percent, results in a high fire danger. Strong cross winds will make for hazardous driving conditions, especially through passes including the highway 101 through Gaviota pass and highway 154 through the San Marcos pass.
