Last week Paso Robles wine makers raised a huge chunk of change for local high schoolers needing help getting to college.
More than 30 wine makers prepared delicacies on the grill and paired them with their wines as part of the 14th annual wine maker's cook off.
They raised more than 53,000 dollars, which brings their total over the run of the event to almost $450,000. That money will go to a scholarship fund for Paso Robles high school seniors.
The event is also a contest for winemakers who hope to take home honors for the best food off the grill.
The 2012 judge's choice went to Vina Robles.
The people's choice went to Mondo Cellars.
