Winter storm hits Central Coast, bringing snow, rain, wind, and cold temperatures

The Central Coast is in full winter mode on Tuesday. A winter storm brings low elevation snow, coastal and valley rain, cold temperatures, and gusty winds. Some areas could even see hail. The rain is expected to taper off by Wednesday, although showers could persist into Thursday.
Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties are under a winter weather advisory. That means, there is a low pressure system producing a combination of winter weather that present a hazard. The cold temperatures along the Central Coast are expected to be 10 to 15 degrees below season normal. Mountain areas of 3,000 feet and above could see 3"-5" of snow. That should taper off late Tuesday.
Looking forward to the weekend, temperatures are expected to likely remain below seasonal normal.
