RICHMOND, Calif. (AP) - An 82-year-old woman who was beaten and sexually assaulted while taking an early morning walk near her home at assisted living center has died six months after the attack.
Richmond Lt. Bisa French tells the San Francisco Chronicle (http://bit.ly/MzEp9C ) that Sun Kwon died Tuesday from injuries she suffered during the late January assault.
The manager of a Richmond store found her bloodied and barely conscious on the side of a business several hours after the attack.
French says no arrests have been made and authorities are hoping the woman's death will prompt someone to come forward with information about whoever attacked her.
Although Kwon walked the same route every morning, no people who were in the area reported seeing or hearing anything unusual.
