The woman accused of hitting two bicyclists on Labor Day, killing one and severely injuring the other, pleaded guilty Tuesday to the charges against her. Jessica Goddard, 29, from Cayucos, has been charged with two felony counts: gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs causing injury. The second charge also includes an enhancement of inflicting great bodily injury. On Friday, Goddard entered a not guilty plea during her arraignment, but at her pre-preliminary hearing on Tuesday, the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney's Office says she changed her plea to guilty. Goddard is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 8. She faces a maximum of 14 years in state prison.
