Woman hit by car in Santa Barbara, driver arrested for DUI

Santa Barbara police say a woman is in the hospital, after being hit by a car while she was crossing the street.

It happened just before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of De La Vina and Pueblo Street in Santa Barbara.

Officers say the driver of the car was arrested for being under the influence of drugs. The woman was taken to Cottage Hospital for treatment. Investigators think she may have a broken arm.
