Woman pulls rifle from car trunk during gas station argument

(KPRC) A man is dead and a woman is in jail after a shooting at a Houston, Texas gas station.

According to investigators the man and woman got into a fight around 7 p.m. Sunday night outside the station.

According to Houston Police Department Homicide investigators, the woman then went back to her trunk and got a .22 caliber gun and fired multiple shots at the man, killing him in the parking lot.

Relatives said the woman went back to her car and grabbed a camera and began recording the shooting victim, but police have not confirmed that.

Police say the gas station does have security cameras, and that they were rolling at the time.

Officials said the two were seen arguing before the man swung at her. The woman backed away, then held up a gun, and shot it at the man. She then put the gun back in her trunk and continued to pump gas.

Witnesses were able to give her license plate to investigators.

The 23-year-old woman was arrested a short time later.

Police say this case is being referred to a Harris County grand jury.

Authorities have not yet released the names in this incident.
